Health and Wellness have always been something I have been interested in and from an early age I knew how important a fresh colourful diet, lots of water and vitamins and minerals are. It wasn’t util 2018 when I started to become unwell physically did, I decided to return to college and university and study PT & Fitness level 3 and Diet and Nutrition level 5, and in 2020 Allergy Intolerance Therapy and Nutritional/Intolerance Counselling Clinical Practice alongside Vitamin and Supplement counselling and advice.
I had noticed that I was becoming more tired each day and I started to drink more and more coffee and caffeine infused drinks. Despite at one point drinking up to 6 double espresso shots per day I was still exhausted. Rock bottom came for me when I would drop my 2 boys at school for 8.50 and be home and back in bed for 9am I slept the day away and would wake ay 2.45 to collect them, later that evening after seeing to them I would be in bed for 9pm with them and still be exhausted when I woke the next day, it was a vicious circle that I knew I needed to break and had no idea how, The GP told me I was depressed, I knew I wasn’t , I told them it might have something to do with food, they told me to cut out the food that was making me ill, but that was the problem. I didn’t know what foods were making me ill as everything seemed to disagree with me.
Like how I had done to heal myself before after the suicide of my perpetrator I turned to books, I attended online zoom meetings for doctors around the world and the same thing kept creeping up…..Adrenal Fatigue. More books, more research and I discovered that I had Stage 4 which was the most dangerous and advanced stage. Following advice to help myself I felt a bit better but not as I though I should. I decided to take matters into my own hands and look at every aspect of my life, that’s when I came across the intolerance test. I knew the foods I was eating were having a major impact on me and even though I ate a relatively healthy diet something needed to change.
I booked an appointment and was so shocked at the results, practically everything I was eating was making me ill. Wheat, dairy, fruits, veg, drinks. I left the appointment with the list and it was that day my health started to change. Within a week I noticed a huge improvement and that’s when I decided to retrain and become an Allergy Intolerance Therapy and Nutritional/Intolerance Counsellor.
